RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Tuesday that the women’s basketball team will face Southern Utah University on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 4 p.m. and Monday, Jan. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at America First Event Center.
The Vaqueros were originally scheduled to open Western Athletic Conference play at Dixie State on Friday and Saturday but the Trailblazers suspended all competition related activities for the rest of the season.
Southern Utah saw their weekend series with Eastern Washington canceled due to COVID-19 protocols.
