RIO GRANDE VALLEY – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Wednesday an all-time record number of basketball season ticket sales for the 2021-22 season.

Fans have come together to say, “I’ve Got Mine,” as the Rio Grande Valley is showing its significant support for UTRGV Athletics.

UTRGV’s season ticket base, which has doubled since the 2018-19 season, came out in full force on Tuesday for men’s basketball’s season opening win over Texas A&M International, helping to create a homecourt advantage for the Vaqueros.

“We have had a truly overwhelmingly positive response to the ‘I’ve Got Mine’ campaign and I want to extend my gratitude and appreciation to all of our fans for their support. We have witnessed tremendous crowds this volleyball season and we expect this momentum to carry not only into our basketball seasons but baseball as well,” UTRGV Vice President and Director of Athletics Chasse Conque said. “We are in the midst of transformational times, and community support is critical. I also want to thank our external operations team for bringing this together and working hard to #RallyTheValley.”

The “I’ve Got Mine” message is a call to #RallyTheValley as community and campus leaders, students, faculty, and staff throughout the Rio Grande Valley come together to encourage their friends, family, neighbors, and fellow community members to support UTRGV athletic programs through the purchase of basketball, baseball, and volleyball season tickets.

This ongoing campaign includes marketing pieces on billboards, social media, television, and in print that feature community members and members of the UTRGV campus community communicating the simple message, “I’ve Got Mine.”

Season tickets can be purchased online at GoUTRGV.com/Tickets or by contacting the UTRGV Athletics Ticket Office team of Seth Jones (956-665-3877), Carlos Munoz (956-665-3747) and Eddie Galvan (956-665-3415) over the phone or through email at tickets@utrgv.edu. UTRGV faculty and staff can save 20% by taking advantage of payroll deduction by using this form and returning it to Jones, Munoz, or Galvan.
