The complex will be built on the west side of campus, between Jackson Rd. and the UTPA Wellness and Recreation Center. The facility will have access from Jackson Rd.
Construction of Phase I, encompassing the soccer field and track & field areas, is expected to begin in March with a targeted completion date of August.
Phase II will consist of concessions, offices, training rooms, locker rooms, bleacher seating, lighting, and a press box. A construction start date has not yet been set.
Beginning in the fall of 2015, the stadium will host a full home schedule of men’s and women’s soccer matches, while track & field is expected to host competitions beginning in the spring of 2016.
