McAllen, TX—-Dr. Julio Leon, Special Advisor to The University of Texas System’s Office of Academic Affairs will be the guest speaker at the McAllen Citizens League noon Luncheon on Thursday May 22 at the Salvation Army Center on 23rd Street & Pecan McAllen.
Dr. Leon has led and coordinated campus teams that have assisted in UT System leadership with the planning for the new university and Medical School in the Valley. “It will be a great opportunity to pass on to the Citizens league how UT RGV will be a University for the 21st Century”, said Leon.
“In addition to our guest speaker, we will hold the election for officers and board members at this meeting”, said Christopher Julian, President of the League. The meeting is open to the public and lunch is available at $12 for members & $15 for non-members. Membership in the League is only $10 per year.
