SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas – The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 7-2 (8th Coastal District) is proud to announce its annual Change of Watch ceremony, which will be held at Louie’s Backyard on South Padre Island on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 6:00 PM.
The event will include the installation of the new Flotilla Commander, Ernest Aliseda, the Vice Flotilla Commander, James Ryan, and the Flotilla Staff Officers, as well as attendance by members of Flotilla 7-2, local and regional U.S. Coast Guard officers, their families, and invited guests.
This year’s ceremony is generously sponsored by Shallow Stalker Boats, based in Port Isabel, Texas, and SUZUKI Marine, USA, headquartered in Tampa, Florida.
Featured Guest:
Hunter Davis of SUZUKI Marine, USA, will be the evening’s featured speaker. Davis will highlight the Clean Ocean Project, a SUZUKI Marine initiative dedicated to promoting clean water and environmental sustainability.
The Coast Guard Auxiliary will also showcase its own program, Sea Partners, an educational outreach initiative designed to raise awareness about marine pollution and protect coastal ecosystems. Together, these initiatives demonstrate a shared commitment to preserving clean waters, beaches, and healthy marine environments for the public to enjoy.
