PHARR, Texas – Two ramps will be permanently closed in Pharr beginning, Monday, February 21st at 8:00 p.m. for construction activities related to the I-2 / I-69C Interchange Project. 


The I-2 eastbound exit ramp (146A) to Cage Boulevard will be closed. 

Detour for I-2 eastbound:

Motorists will need to utilize the Sugar Road/Polk Avenue exit (145) on eastbound I-2. 


The eastbound entrance ramp just before Sugar Road will be closed. 

Detour for I-2 eastbound: 

Continue on the I-2 eastbound frontage road to the next entrance ramp at Dahlia Street.

Detour for I-69C northbound: 

Continue on the I-2 eastbound frontage road to Cage Boulevard. Turn left at Cage Boulevard to head north. Use the entrance ramp past SH495 to access northbound I-69C. 


All work is weather permitting. 

Drivers are reminded to stay alert and slowdown in roadwork zones, to be aware of lane closures and alternate routes, and to follow all traffic control updates.
