Recently, Congressman Cuellarwas pleased to be joined by First Lieutenant Richard Hanson, an Admissions Outreach Officer from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, to speak to high-achieving students about our U.S. Service academies.
They visited Joseph W. Nixon High School, Raymond & Tirza Martin High School, Dr. Leonides G. Cigarroa High School, United South High School, and United High School in Laredo.
Each year, the Congressman has the privilege of nominating young men and women for admission to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at King’s Point.
Candidates interested in seeking a nomination from his office to one of these academies must request a copy of my application packet in addition to applying directly to the Academy’s Admissions office. Other requirements are listed his website.
