The McAllen Chamber of Commerce continues to work closely with local consulate officers from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras in a variety of projects and initiatives intended to foster and grow the relationship between McAllen community and its counterparts in Mexico and Central America.
During a recent Tricamex meeting, Luis Eduardo Cantu, Vice President for International Business at the McAllen Chamber, highlighted the Chamber’s commitment to collaborate with the local Consulate officers on multiple upcoming projects and activities. Among some of those projects are visit from Zacatecas Secretary of Agriculture, Víctor Villalobos Arámbula; a future visit by First Lady of Honduras, Ana Garcia Carias; a commercial mission to El Salvador by Ambassador of El Salvador, Milena Mayorga; and a couple of unannounced projects between the McAllen Chamber of Commerce and local Consulates.
“Diplomacy plays such an important role in our daily communication with sister cities and multiple international organizations and is a key when dealing with the local honorable Consulate officers.” said Luis Eduardo Cantu,” I truly believe there are many opportunities of collaboration to promote not only friendship and partnerships, but economic development and exchanges between our communities that we will continue to explore as we move forward” Cantu concluded.
