McALLEN / ALTON — As part of the FM 676 (Mile 5 Rd) widening project, south Taylor Road, between FM 676 to just north of Mile 4 Road in McAllen, will close to through traffic for the reconstruction of the FM 676/Taylor Road intersection, starting Monday, January 12.
Only local traffic will be allowed access between Mile 5 Road and Mile 4 Road.
There will be a detour in place through Shary Road and FM 1924 (Mile 3)(Buddy Owens). The closure is expected to be in place through March 2026.
