HIDALGO/EDINBURG – The replacement of large overhead signs on State Spur 115 (23^rd Street) in the City of Hidalgo and I-69C (US 281) in Edinburg will require overnight lane closures, Tuesday, and Wednesday, respectively.

The scheduled work, needed to replace faded signs with loss of reflectivity, is scheduled as follows:

SS 115 (23^rd Street), Hidalgo – January 20, 2026, 9 p.m. – 3 a.m.

Drivers can expect two southbound left lane closures, between Esperanza Avenue and Bridge Street.

IH-69C (US 281), Edinburg – January 21, 2026, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. 

Drivers can expect two northbound right lane closures and on/off ramp closures between Sprague Street and Chapin Street.
