LA FERIA/SANTA MARIA – The just completed FM 2556 bridge over the Floodway, between La Feria and Santa Maria, is now open.

The new crossing impressively towers 25 feet above the former bridge, which was prone to flooding.

The bridge includes two travel lanes (one in each direction) and two, 10-foot shoulders. The cost of this project was approximately $7.9 million.
