Edinburg, Texas – Two Liga MX teams will face off at the H-E-B Park on Saturday, Sept 8, 2018. The six (6) time Liga MX champions, Club de Fútbol Tigres de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo Leon will take on the Atlas of Guadalajara when these two come into town.
The match between Tigres UANL and Atlas will be on Saturday, September 8, 2018, at the H-E-B Park, stadium officials announced today. The game is a “doubleheader” as it will be followed by our very own Toros FC vs. Real Monarchs from Utah, whose match is set to start at the conclusion of the former. The match is presented by SPD Sports in partnership with RGVFC Toros. At this time these are all the details we have in regards to the doubleheader, but more information will be announced once it becomes available.

Tickets for the match will go on sale Friday, August 10, 2018, at 10:00 AM, with prices ranging from $40- $70. To purchase tickets, fans can visit HEBParkRGV.com or visit the box office at H-E-B Park, which is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM CDT.
Tigres UANL has been crowned champion of the Mexican soccer league a total of six times. Most recently, Tigres UANL won the Campeón de Campeones cup, which was played between Tigres and Santos Laguna, the other 2018 Liga MX champion. The final marker was 4-0 for a victory that won Tigres UANL a chance to battle the first edition of Campeones Cup with Toronto FC, a match that will be disputed on September 19, 2018, for the first time. Internationally, Tigres UANL has won the Superliga in 2009 and finished runner-up in the Copa Libertadores and the CONCACAF Champions League. Atlas de Guadalajara, founded more than 100 yrs ago, make their home in Estadio Jalisco in Guadalajara, Mexico. The team is one of Mexico’s oldest and most traditional, with a strong fan base. Atlas has participated twice in Copa Libertadores, the first appearance was in 2000 and the latest in 2008, where they exited the tournament in quarterfinals.
