EDINBURG, Texas – Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol (RGV) agents and local law enforcement disrupt three human smuggling stash houses.
Yesterday, RGV agents and local law enforcement working in Star County, Texas, responded to several reports of suspected human smuggling stash houses located in Roma and Rio Grande City, Texas. The joint collaboration led to disruption of three stash houses and resulted in the arrest of 43 migrants. In one of the stash houses, the migrants reported not eating for five days. The smuggled people were from Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico, Ecuador, and Dominican Republic.
This year, RGV agents have made over 3,800 apprehensions at various stash houses located throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
Border Patrol is processing the subjects accordingly.
