The exhibit opened on Aug. 27, and will be available to view until Oct. 3, 2019, at the STC Pecan Campus Library Art Gallery, Building F-226 located at 3201 West Pecan Boulevard in McAllen, Texas.

Also running concurrently is an exhibition of paintings by STC art instructor Pedro Perez on the first floor of the library. The series of paintings come after Perez’s half-year sabbatical in Spain, Italy, and France. In this exhibition, the artist invites his close friends and colleagues to sit in as a “saint” for each of the paintings.

A reception for both exhibitions will take place on Thursday, Oct. 3rd, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The artists will give a short talk and be available to answer questions. The exhibition, artist talk, and reception are free and open to the public.

The South Texas College Library Art Gallery organizes exhibitions and educational programs to engage student understanding of art and its role in culture, support academic curriculum, and inspire continued education through direct engagement with artists, scholars, and original works of art.
