In an exclusive interview with Sony Rego, of the Santa Fe Steakhouse creator of the Santa Fe Steakhouse Wine Classic, we discussed about the South Texas’s premier culinary event. Set against the backdrop of Quinta Mazatlán, the Santa Fe Steakhouse Wine Classic on April 5th promises an evening where fine dining meets philanthropy, all under the enchanting Texas sky.

Supporting Local Cuisine with a Global Twist

“The Santa Fe Wine Classic isn’t just an event; it’s a celebration of flavors,” Sony shares with a smile. The event will showcase an exquisite array of wines from around the globe, thoughtfully paired with the finest local cuisine. Popular establishments like the Republic of the Rio Grande, Kumori, Bodega Tavern and Kitchen, and House Wine will join Santa Fe Steakhouse in presenting their culinary masterpieces.

As guests savor the flavors, they’ll be treated to live music, a silent auction, and exclusive access to a champagne and dessert lounge. “It’s more than dining; it’s an experience,” Sony adds.

A Commitment to Education

At its core, the Santa Fe Steakhouse Wine Classic is about community and giving back. The Santa Fe Steakhouse Foundation aims to unite the Rio Grande Valley in support of local education. “We believe in the power of community to uplift and empower our youth,” Sony states. The Foundation’s Education Initiative Program provides scholarships to high school students, helping to turn college dreams into realities.

“All proceeds from the Wine Classic benefit McAllen high school students and culinary programs in the Valley,” Sony emphasizes, underlining the event’s philanthropic spirit.

The event, scheduled from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm at the picturesque Quinta Mazatlán.
