LAREDO, Texas – The Outlet Shoppes at Laredo announced details of the 5th Anniversary Celebration of opening in downtown Laredo March 17, 2017. Plans to commemorate this significant milestone will include a slew of month-long activities and events.
The celebration kicks off Saturday, March 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the Laredo Main Street/El Centro de Laredos Farmers Market and Pop-Up Shop featuring local vendors, artisans, and more. The festivities will include celebratory events for the entire family like live entertainment, whimsical stilt walkers, character meet and greets, balloon artists, face painting, and a fun photo booth, among others.
Over the last five years, The Outlet Shoppes at Laredo has become a favorite shopping destination for South Texas and Northern Mexico. The center has become an integral part of the Laredo community by partnering with numerous civic and nonprofit organizations. It has hosted unique community events such as the recent Sister Cities Festival, various cultural events, farmer’s markets, and educational activities. Philanthropic contributions from the center have exceeded over $300,000 to many worthy causes. The Outlet Shoppes has impacted the local economy by creating over 1,000 jobs.
“We’ve changed the shopping landscape of Laredo,” said Outlet Shoppes’ General Manager, Dan Davila. “We attract shoppers from a radius greater than 300 miles. We look forward to celebrating many more years in this community”, continued Davila.
Post-Covid, the center has been successful at actively incubating new businesses with their Pop-Up Shops and is currently working on attracting new stores and concepts to Laredo.
The Outlet Shoppes at Laredo is a 358,000-square foot, a two-level outlet shopping center located on the banks of the Rio Grande River in downtown Laredo, Texas. The center boasts nationally renowned designer stores, including Michael Kors, Vera Bradley, Under Armour, Calvin Klein, and a two-level Nike Factory Clearance Store. We also offer fast-casual food options Auntie Anne’s Pretzels/Cinnabon, Stone and Stein Pizzeria, and Marble Slab.
