McALLEN, Texas – The McAllen Heritage Center Board of Directors invite you to support the 2025 annual “Chuckwagon Dinner”fundraiser. MHC is pleased to announce that the event continues to partner with Macaroni Grill of McAllen to bring you a great meal you can enjoy anytime starting June 1 through September 30, 2025 (excluding Father’s Day).  The ticket includes dinner for two and features a delicious steakdinner with all the trimmings and a bottle of house wine for only $75.00 per ticket. All funds raised will benefit the McAllen Heritage Center’s mission to preserve, educateand enhance McAllen’s history and culture. 

The Chuckwagon Dinner, one of the museum’s major fundraisers was started in 2006 in conjunction with PalmFest Folklife Celebration (now known as Fiesta de Palmas). The event was originally hosted at the museum located in downtown McAllen until 2014 when the event first partnered with Tony Roma’s of McAllen.

MHC is grateful to the many friends and supporters of the Chuckwagon Dinner and other museum fundraisers throughout the years. It is through this ongoing support from the community that our mission has been successful for the past 17 years that MHC has been in service to the community and Region. Exhibits continue to expand andthe museum also offers art exhibits by local artists at the “Artist’s Corner” along with exciting rotating exhibits with our partners UTRGV Chaps Program, Bob Bullock Museum and Humanities Texas, among others. MHC is located at 301 S. Main St. in the historic former US Post Office building at the corner of Main St. and Chicago Ave. in downtown McAllen.  Admission is free and there is free parking for visitors in the rear parking lot.  Door donations are accepted.  Hours of operation are Wednesday through Friday from 1pm to 5pm and Saturday from 12pm to 4pm.
