The fifth annual McGrinch event, hosted by the McAllen Heritage Center (MHC)– Museum of History & Culture, will be held on Saturday, December 13, from 2pm to 6 pm. McGrinch at La Placita Park is a free event and will feature a meet-and-greet with our friendly McGrinch! Attendees are welcome to take cell phone photos with McGrinch! Local vendors and artisans, holiday music, food vendors, and pet adoptions via Palm Valley Animal Society. Spin the wheel for prizes including kids’ goody bags, McGrinch items, tees, and McAllenopolies, while they last, will make the event diverse, fun, and exciting!
The outdoor event will be held in the museum’s unique park in the center of downtown McAllen and is family- and pet-friendly! McGrinch attire and ugly Christmas sweaters are encouraged.
McGrinch tees for kids, sponsored by Explore McAllen, will be available while they last.
The MHC is located at 301 S. Main St. at the corner of Main St. and Chicago Ave in the historic former USPO. MHC is the only museum dedicated to preserving McAllen’s history. Parking will be available at the downtown parking garage located at 221 S. 15th St.
