EDINBURG, TX – On Tuesday, December 3, the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce hosted its last monthly Ambassador meeting of 2019 to wrap up a year of volunteer work.

With the supervision of Membership Director, Zayda Pacheco, ambassadors have collectively attended over 130 events, helped service 400 members, and invested numerous hours to community engagement.

Earlier this year the Edinburg Chamber launched its updated ambassador program to provide multiple benefits to participants. In turn, this has increased business exposure, ability to build further business relationships and the opportunity to take leadership roles within different committees.

“Being an ambassador is beneficial as it is a great way to network, build relationships, and build resources,” said Pacheco. Chamber Ambassadors consist of business professionals and members within the community and play key roles in supporting the organization’s overall mission of member acquisition and retention.

Ambassadors help welcome new members, attend chamber functions, visit members and answer questions regarding benefits the chamber has to offer.

During the December meeting, Letty Flores and Ruby Casas were recognized as Ambassador of the Month for their commitment to the chamber. “Ambassadors play a vital role in our organization. This recognition is a token of appreciation for their support,” said Pacheco.

The next Ambassadors meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at the Historic Chamber Depot located on 602 W. University Dr. Edinburg, TX. To become a member of the chamber or an ambassador, please contact Zayda Pacheco at 956-383-4974 or visit us online at www.edinburg.com.
