Update: The City of McAllen and The Mexican Consulate of McAllen Present the Fiesta de Palmas Festival

The Fiesta de Palmas festival, presented by The City of McAllen and The Mexican Consulate of McAllen, takes place September 22-23, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at McAllen Convention Center. This fun-filled event is open to guests of all ages.

This weekend-long event will include live music from local and international acts, vibrant dance performances, a variety of international cuisine, and an eclectic array of cultural activities for guests to participate in. Residents from all over the Rio Grande Valley are invited to take part in this special event.

Attendees will be treated to an array of sights and sounds, courtesy of live music and dancers across the event layout. Entertainment will be provided by musical acts such as Ramon Ayala y Sus Bravos del Norte with a special appearance by Christopher Ayala, Ramon Ayala Jr, La Sonora Arrasadora and Los Cadetes de Linares de Rosendo Cantu, El Folklorico de Amalia Hernandez, among others. 

Guests are encouraged to navigate the different stages and booths to experience all the festival has to offer. There will be a wide variety of delicious, authentic foods and shopping from vendors offering Asian, Latin-American/Mexican, Middle Easter, European and other delectable cuisines for guests to enjoy throughout the day.

Fiesta De Palmas – McAllen Texas

The Folkloric Ballet of Mexico was founded by Amalia Hernández in 1952 and for six decades it has been the emblematic set of the traditional folkloric dance of this country. This dance group makes its presentations throughout Mexico and also has made more than 100 international tours visiting 60 countries and more than 300 cities. Now comes to McAllen.
