EDINBURG – With Thanksgiving around the corner, the Hidalgo County Community Service Agency (HCCSA) and Cano and Sons Trucking, LLC are joining forces to ensure that families in need can enjoy a memorable Thanksgiving meal.
Through the “Together We Feast” initiative, eligible families will receive an uncooked
turkey and a meal package to help celebrate the holiday.
“We thank the generosity of Cano and Sons Trucking for recognizing the importance of
family and making this meal giveaway possible,” said Jaime Longoria, executive director
of the HCCSA.
Eligible families must have a letter of eligibility from HCCSA and may pick up their meal
package between 8 a.m. and noon on Saturday, November 9, 2024.
Between noon and 2 p.m. that day, meal packages will be given to families on a first-come,
first served basis. No letter of eligibility is needed.

Applied for LIHEAP (Utility) assistance between JanuaryMarch 2024 | |
Households with members who are 65 or older, children under 5, and/or individuals withdisabilities | |
Income below 150% of the federal poverty level |
