Texas Southmost College (TSC) is set to provide a variety of workforce training and continuing education courses starting February 17, 2025. These courses are designed for individuals seeking to acquire the skills and certifications required to enter specialized workforce fields.
Registration is open for a variety of training courses designed for individuals seeking to start a new career or improve their current skill set. Available programs include plumbing, electrical technician training, structural welding, and diesel engine repair for those interested in hands-on work. Additionally, there is a substitute teacher program for those preferring a classroom setting.

One of the primary advantages of these courses is their flexible scheduling, providing both morning and afternoon sessions. For instance, the plumbing, electrical, welding, and diesel engine specialist courses are scheduled from Monday to Thursday, with morning sessions running from 8 a.m. to noon and additional afternoon classes available from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. This arrangement is particularly suited for working professionals who have limited time in their daily or weekly schedules to attend in-person classes.
TSC’s workforce programs provide learning opportunities designed to prepare students for employment in different trades. Courses are taught by professionals with experience in their respective fields, offering significant knowledge and expertise.
