HARLINGEN, Texas – The Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT)—the largest state community banking association in the nation—recently honored Texas Regional Bank (TRB) with a Best of Community Banking (BOCB) Award. TRB received a Silver Eagle Award for its “Fifteen Years of The People You Know: Texas Regional Bank’s Diversified Approach to Building a Winning Team” bank culture entry.

This recognition builds on TRB’s consistent success in the BOCB Awards over the past several years:

• 2024 – Community Spirit Award for Community Service, and Gold Eagle Award for Community Service

• 2023 – Community Spirit Award for Architectural Design, Gold Eagle Award for Architectural Design, and Gold Eagle Award for Innovation

• 2022 – Gold Eagle Award for Financial Literacy

“This award recognizes what we’ve known all along — our people are our greatest strength,” said Jamie Brown-Rosas, SVP, Chief Community & Business Development Officer. “From leaders with deep community roots, to employees who’ve grown with us for years, each team member is an important contributor to the culture that defines TRB. This honor truly belongs to them.”

As TRB marks its 15th anniversary, the organization celebrates remarkable growth—from fewer than 20 employees to nearly 600 across 35 locations in four regions. Over the years, TRB has evolved from a community bank into a full-service financial institution, yet one priority has remained constant: investing in its people. Guided by the mission to “Be the People You Know in the Communities We Serve,” TRB continues to cultivate its culture by developing its greatest asset—its team.
