A Powerball ticket worth $2 million was purchased in Texas for the drawing held Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, lottery officials said.

Officials reported that the winning numbers were 18, 21, 40, 53, and 60, with Powerball number 23. The Power Play option for the drawing carried a 3x multiplier.

The Texas Lottery said the ticket matched all five white balls, qualifying for a $1 million prize. Because the player selected the Power Play option, officials said the prize was increased to $2 million. The ticket did not match the Powerball number.

No tickets matched all six numbers drawn, lottery officials said. The jackpot for the drawing was estimated at $74 million, with a cash option of about $33.6 million.

Lottery officials said they have not yet announced where the $2 million ticket was sold and confirmed that the city’s name has not been released.

Winners were reminded by officials to “sign the back of the ticket” and to contact the Texas Lottery for details on how to claim their prize.
