Texas Municipal League (TML) returns to McAllen July 31st through August 2nd with its TML Hometown Workshop and Public Funds Investment Act Training for community leaders. The three days of meetings will be attended by 75 to 100 community leaders, generating an estimated $52,500.00 for local businesses.
TML exists to serve the needs and advocate the interests of cities and city officials. The TML Constitution states that the purpose of the League is “to render services which individual cities have neither time, money nor strength to do alone.”
The theme of TML’s Hometown Workshop is Your Legal and Ethical Role as a Community Leader. Those attending this workshop will hear from experts about harassment in the workplace, diversity and inclusion, ethical governance, and succession planning.
“We are so pleased to have the Texas Municipal League in McAllen again,” said Lisa Ramirez, Sales Manager at Visit McAllen. “McAllen is a great match and we hope TML will continue to offer workshops here to empower Texas cities to serve their citizens.”
