In response to the devastating flooding that struck Kerrville, the Texas Hill Country, and parts of Central Texas on Independence Day 2025, the Texas Bankers Foundation has launched a relief effort to support affected communities. The Foundation, which serves as the charitable arm of the Texas Bankers Association (TBA), is calling on Texas community banks, industry partners, and the public to contribute to a targeted relief fund.

“The Foundation is committed to standing by our communities in times of crisis,” said officials from the Texas Bankers Foundation, noting that the initiative is intended to provide swift financial assistance to those directly impacted by the floods along the Guadalupe River and surrounding areas.

The organization, which is funded by Texas banks, individual bankers, and partner organizations from the banking industry, has already taken initial steps. A $10,000 seed donation from the Foundation has been sent to the Kerrville-based Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country, with additional support expected for other local organizations working on recovery efforts.

Notably, 100% of all donations specifically earmarked for the 2025 flood relief effort will be directed to the victims. “We want donors to know that every dollar they give goes straight to support those in need—nothing is held back,” the Foundation emphasized.

The Texas Bankers Association, founded in 1885, is the oldest and largest state bankers’ association in the United States. The Texas Bankers Foundation supports financial education, disaster relief, and community development initiatives across the state.
