Telemundo 40 Rio Grande Valley names Antonio Rodríguez as new Weekend Anchor

McAllen, TX – Telemundo 40 Río Grande Valley / KTLM today announced that Antonio Rodríguez has been named Weekend Anchor for Noticias Telemundo 40, KTLM’s local newscast that airs weekdays at 11 AM, 4 PM, 4:30 PM, 5 PM and 10 PM and weekends at 5 PM and 10 PM. He will take the anchor desk on March 30, 2019.

“Antonio has been a great asset to our team. His encouragement motivates the entire news department to continue covering the local stories that affect our viewers. Antonio’s investigative skills have collaborated to position us as a most-watched newscast in the Valley,” said Miguel Ángel López, Vice President of News, Telemundo 40 Río Grande Valley.

Rodríguez has been with Telemundo 40 since August 2018 as a video journalist, before he was a reporter of the consumer protection unit Responde at Telemundo Las Vegas where he previously worked as a reporter and weekend Anchor. He worked as a News Anchor and reporter for KNVO Univision 48 from 2010 to 2014. A five-time Lone Star Emmy Award winner, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg, Texas.
