Customers donate one dollar at a time to help kids battling cancer, other life-threatening diseases

McAllen, TX (April 2, 2018) – This Spring, Taco Palenque is kicking off its fundraising efforts to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® continue to lead the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Through the St. Jude Give thanks. Give hope.™ campaign, customers are encouraged to donate $1 or more at the register to support the lifesaving mission of the hospital.
Taco Palenque invites patrons to join in on the pin-up action at their McAllen locations on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 to jumpstart fundraising so patients never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live. The campaign will wrap up on Monday, April 30, 2018, “El Día del Niño/Children’s Day.”
In exchange for a $1 or more donation at checkout, patrons will receive a spring-themed paper pin-up featuring a St. Jude patient. Thanks to generous donations through programs like St. Jude Give thanks. Give hope., St. Jude has the freedom to focus on what matters most – saving kids regardless of their financial situation.

This is the first time that Taco Palenque has participated in the St. Jude Give thanks. Give hope. campaign. One hundred percent of the donations raised during this campaign go directly to the hospital, which is where doctors often send their toughest cases because St. Jude has the world’s best survival rates for some of the most aggressive forms of cancers. To date, St. Jude Give thanks. Give hope. has raised more than $4.8 million for the kids of St. Jude.
