McAllen Police Officers responded to a “crowd of people screaming,” on August 24, 2025, at about 2:06 a.m., at or near the intersection of South 17th Street and Beaumont Avenue, in McAllen, Texas. Responding Officers observed, “multiple males fist fighting,” in public and began to separate the parties.
Sergio Contreras Sandoval (18 year-old, last known address of Mission, TX) was detained for his involvement in the fight and arrested for Public Intoxication, Resisting Arrest, and Interference with Public Duties.
Alexander Andree Flores (17 year-old, last known address of Alton, TX) is identified as the individual part of the fight and fleeing after assaulting an Officer. A McAllen Police Officer attempted to apprehend Alexander Flores and was struck by the suspect, causing injury to the arresting officer. McAllen Investigators were able to identify Flores and charged him with Resisting Arrest, Assault on a Peace Officer, and Evading Arrest.
Other parties involved in the disturbance remain unknown at this time and McAllen Police Officers continue to investigate the incident with the assistance of State and Federal partners. Both suspects remain in custody, pending formal arraignment in the McAllen Municipal Court.
