McAllen’s Quinta Mazatlán invites the community to enjoy a quarter-mile Superhero Trail through the Woods, starting with Thursday Night Live on Thursday, June 8, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Quinta Mazatlán, 600 Sunset Drive with the Superhero Trail & Superhero Vehicle Night in the Park. Rio Grande Valley artists Celerino Castillo and Gaby Rico have created over 75 life size painted wood PEGS of comic book superheroes that have been placed along the trails. Walk the trail and see six-foot-tall famous comic book covers that will be accompanying the artistic PEGS. The trail will begin with the community’s real-life superheroes and their vehicles stationed along Sabal Palm Drive.
Guests can stop by and view the super vehicles, take photos and get information on the different departments that will be in attendance. Meet real-life superheroes including Border Patrol, McAllen Fire Department, McAllen Police Department, McAllen Public Utilities, McAllen Public Works, McAllen’s Recycling Center, and many more. Remember to dress as a superhero for those fun photo opportunities with Batman, Spiderman and Bumblebee!
Thursday Night Live takes place Thursday evenings June 8- August 17 and is proudly sponsored by South Texas Health Systems Children’s; Freels Orthodontics; Whataburger and Radisson McAllen Hotel.
