Olmito, Texas — Sunshine Haven is proud to announce its 25th Anniversary Ceremony, marking a quarter-century of providing compassionate end-of-life care to the residents of Cameron County. The celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at 7105 W. Lakeside Blvd., Olmito, TX 78575.
For 25 years, Sunshine Haven has remained a beacon of hope and comfort for individuals with terminal diagnoses. As a 24/7 nonprofit organization, our mission has always been to offer a peaceful, homelike environment where individuals may pass with dignity and love.
Unlike many care providers, Sunshine Haven operates without billing Medicare or Medicaid, relying entirely on the generosity of community partners, grants, fundraising events, and private donations. This milestone celebrates not only our history but also the compassion and support of the community that sustains our mission.

About Sunshine Haven Inc
Sunshine Haven Inc. is 501(c)(3) special care licensed facility that serves terminally diagnosed patients free of all costs to the patients and families. Sunshine Haven Inc. is funded only through donations and grants. It is one of three special care facilities in the Rio Grande Valley and the only licensed special care facility in Cameron County.
Sunshine Haven Inc.’s mission is to provide a peaceful, homelike and loving atmosphere where individuals with a terminal diagnosis may pass in quiet dignity.
