MCALLEN, Texas – South Texas College Theatre and Dance will hold auditions for its Main Stage production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield.
Auditions will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 6 – 9 p.m. with callbacks happening at 6 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the STC Cooper Center for Performing Arts. All STC and Rio Grande Valley community members, age 18 and over, are welcome to audition. This live theatre performance will run from November 6 – 9, 2025.
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud comedy where three performers take on all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays — in just 97 minutes. Expect outrageous costumes, wild improvisation, audience interaction and an irreverent crash course in the Bard’s greatest hits. No Shakespeare experience needed—just big energy, bold choices and a love of making people laugh.
Those interested in auditioning for The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) are encouraged to bring a headshot and resume, but it is not required. Scenes will be made available at the time of audition.
