Robert Hodge is a Houston-based mixed media artist who works primarily in collage, utilizing a variety of found and recycled objects such as old newspaper and deteriorating flyers. Hodge’s work is inspired by everyday life and deals with African-American history and the preservation of storytelling.

A former student of visual art at the Pratt Institute in New York and the Atlanta College of Art, Hodge has exhibited his work in numerous national and international institutions. He has been the recipient of various grants including the Joan Mitchell Foundation, Houston Arts Alliance and the Idea Fund, supported by individual artists, and partnerships from the Houston metro area.
