McAllen, TX (January 7, 2016) – It is an exciting time as the new year starts and South Texas College opens to assist students registering for the upcoming Spring 2016 semester. Extended registration hours will also be available at select campuses leading up to the first day of class on Tuesday, January 19.
“Extended registration hours will be available at the Pecan, Mid-Valley and Starr County Campuses on Saturday, Jan. 9, Saturday, Jan. 16 and Monday, Jan. 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.,” said STC Dean of Enrollment Services & Registrar Matthew Hebbard. “We hope this will give more students an opportunity to come to these campuses and receive one-on-one help from our registration specialists. Students are invited to bring their family members who might want to learn more about the registration process.”
For students who are unable to make it to campus in person, registration is also available 24/7 via JagNet. Installment plans and emergency loans are also currently available for students who have registered. Installment plans can also be obtained via JagNet. Emergency Loan applications are accessible at the Cashiers Office and are subject to availability.
“We are back to our regular hours of operation in addition to offering extended registration hours before classes start on January 19,” said Hebbard. “Students are encouraged to register as soon as possible in order to secure classes that fit their busy schedules.”
