In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, South Texas College is proud to be the first in the State of Texas to host the Hispanic Medal of Honor Society’s new exhibit at its Mid-Valley Campus. The exhibit honors the contributions of those of Hispanic descent who are recipients of our nation’s highest honor, including Jose Lopez, Pedro Cano, and Alfredo “Freddy” Gonzalez from the Rio Grande Valley. The exhibit will be on display Monday, October 5, through Friday, October, 9, 2015, at the Mid-Valley Campus located at 400 N. Border in Weslaco.

The exhibit was recently on display at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and shipped directly to the South Texas College Mid-Valley Campus. Students, veteran’s organizations, and the community are invited to view the exhibit.
