In late September, founder and CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk, visited the Boca Chica facility located in the Lower Rio Grande Valley to provide an update on the development of the Starship MK1 spacecraft.
The 165-foot-tall Starship MK1 prototype was built over the last several months at Boca Chica Beach. The prototype is tentatively scheduled to launch about 12 miles in height in the near future and will later launch into orbit shortly thereafter. These are exciting developments for the SpaceX program and the Brownsville area!
