EDINBURG – The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) women’s indoor track & field team learned on Tuesday that senior Juarez Lincoln alum Sierra Spinler is the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Athlete of the Week for her efforts at the Aggie Twilight on Saturday.
Spinler recorded the fourth-fastest mile run in program history with a time of 5:05.86, the best in the WAC this season, to finish fifth out of 17.
UTRGV is back in action Friday and Saturday at the WAC Championships in Boise, Ida.
