EDINBURG, Texas – South Texas Independent School District Preparatory Academy (STISD Preparatory Academy) is pleased to announce it has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for the 2025-2028 program term. This recognition signifies opportunity, as it promotes networking, learning from others, and the sharing of lessons learned. Technology plays such an important role in the teaching and learning that occurs at our school, and we look forward to continuing to grow in this area.”
Apple Distinguished Schools are centers of leadership and educational excellence, with a clear vision for how technology-rich environments support learning goals. Schools all over the world are using iPad and Mac to transform learning. As teachers incorporate technology into their lessons, they empower students to lead, learn, and thrive, to discover new opportunities, and to make their world a better place.
STISD Preparatory Academy is one of two middle schools within STISD. The campus serves 6th, 7th and 8th-grade students from three counties in the Rio Grande Valley – Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy – through a rigorous academic curriculum, enabling them to earn above-grade-level coursework and develop the skills and habits necessary for success in higher learning while still in middle school.
