EDINBURG, Texas – The 10th Annual South Texas International Film Festival (STXIFF), hosted by the City of Edinburg, is now accepting submissions for the upcoming STXIFF set for September 11-14, 2024. Over the course of these four days, attendees can enjoy a rich array of films, workshops, panel discussions, and opportunities to meet celebrities and film industry experts.
The South Texas International Film Festival is an annual celebration of the art of cinema that showcases the work of visionary filmmakers from all over the world. Based in Edinburg, Texas, STXIFF highlights local, regional, national, and international films and prides itself as a welcoming hub for thriving and aspiring storytellers. They focus on personal engagement with filmmakers with a South Texas hospitality flare.
Call for entries for the 10th STXIFF opened on November 1, 2023, and final submissions close at 11:59 p.m. on May 7, 2024. The official selections will be announced on June 15, 2024, via email to filmmakers and through the STXIFF social media platforms. Films are only accepted through FilmFreeway via the website as Short or Feature films in any category. Short films must be between 2 minutes and 40 minutes. Feature films must be between 40 minutes and 120 minutes. STXIFF accepts narrative films, documentaries, music videos, and animations. To qualify, films must have been completed after January 1, 2021, and must not be publicly available online or for purchase or renting.
