MCALLEN, TEXAS (July 31, 2018) – Faculty at South Texas College invite students to come learn how the college can help take their education to the next level.
STC will host its first ever Bachelor Programs Open House, enabling students to learn more about the various programs available. Receiving a bachelor degree at STC is an affordable and more flexible option for students as they consider their career choices.
South Texas College is among the first cohort of three community colleges approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to offer baccalaureate degree programs.
The open house will take place on Saturday, Aug. 4 at the STC Student Union second floor (Building U) at the Pecan Campus. The event will start with an information session at 9 a.m. and will last until 2 p.m.
Visitors will be able to network with current students in the programs and hear their experiences. Faculty and staff will also be available to share career outlook opportunities and to provide information for each of the bachelor programs.
Bachelor’s degrees available at STC include a Bachelor of Applied Technology in Computer & Information Technologies, Bachelor of Applied Technology in Medical & Health Services Management, Bachelor of Applied Technology in Technology Management, and Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Leadership.
