McAllen, Texas – The South Texas College Police and Fire Academies will host the Future Heroes 5K Challenge Run Saturday, May 19.
The race begins at 7:30 a.m. at Alamo’s Central Park, admission is $25.
Proceeds from the race will support police and fire cadets on their journey to becoming the newest public servants.
“The run has the dual purpose of bringing awareness to our community about the programs being offered at STC,” said Program Chair of the Law Enforcement Program, Victor Valdez. “The event will aid the students in offsetting the costs of the completion ceremony held at the end of each academy.”
