PATH, with the support of South Texas HIDTA, initiated a new and exciting project borne out of collaboration between Strategies for Youth, a national nonprofit dedicated to ensuring best outcomes for youth interacting with law enforcement, and community partnerships.

“The project’s goal is to offer youth in our area an engaging educational tool to empower them with knowledge about the law and interactions with police,” stated Hidalgo County DA Terry Palacios.  “We are thrilled that Strategies for Youth developed educational games called Juvenile Justice Jeopardy (JJJ) for the Rio Grande Valley Region.”

“Everyone attending the conference will receive JJJ hands-on training to utilize it with their agencies with youth prevention efforts,” added H.I.D.T.A. Commander Juan Sifuentes.

The three games supported by H.I.D.T.A. are “Street Version for High School Aged Youth”, “Drugs & Alcohol Version”, and “Know Your Triggers.”
