EDINBURG, Texas – The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EEDC) and the City of Edinburg are excited to announce the expansion of the Shoppes at McColl Rd. This 12,300-square-foot plaza, located at 1816 S. McColl Rd., brings an array of shopping and service options to the community, enhancing the local retail landscape.
The Shoppes at McColl hosts various businesses, including the Play Street Museum—an innovative experience that is the first of its kind in the region—alongside Subway, Martial Tactics, Voya Insurance, and more to come. This diverse selection of stores and services ensures that there is something for everyone, from dining and entertainment to professional services.
The addition of this shopping area is expected to attract both local residents and visitors, providing a boost to the local economy and creating 30 new jobs. With a $2.0 million capital investment, the Shoppes at McColl is a key component in the ongoing efforts to make Edinburg a dynamic and thriving place to live and visit. The plaza also features two electric vehicle charging stations, emphasizing the community’s commitment to sustainability.
“This plaza not only brings jobs but also creates a space where families can spend quality time together in our 4-time All-America City,” said Mayor Ramiro Garza Jr. “Projects like this contribute to making Edinburg a more welcoming and vibrant community—a place we’re proud to call home.”
