Mission, TX – Get your golf clubs ready and come be a part of the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce 2021 Mission Citrus Golf Classic Tournament sponsored by Cano & Sons Trucking. Golf Tournament is scheduled for Friday, May 7, 2021at the Shary Municipal Golf Club located on 2201 N. Mayberry Street in Mission. Tournament to benefit Mission CISD Students.
The 18-hole, 3-man team Florida scramble-style tournament is calling all golf enthusiasts for a fun day on the course to play and network while providing continual support to the local business community and more so, providing necessities and supplies for the upcoming school year to families and students in need.
“It is important to create opportunities like these to advance education in the community. Children are the future of the business economy,’ Brenda Enriquez, GMCC President & CEO said. “I am extremely grateful to the Cano family for being this year’s title sponsor. Their generosity and support to the Mission community has been tremendous. We must give credit where credit is due.”
“We appreciate the partnership we have with the Chamber,” said Craig Verley, Mission CISD Director of Public Relations and Marketing. “While this golf tournament may be the most visual aspect, our relationship with the Greater Mission Chamber of Commerce goes beyond just this golf tournament and has been an invaluable part of helping support students in our district. It has allowed for a greater number of students in the district to receive back to school-related items to help ease the burden on families who may struggle with getting all the supplies their children need to have a successful start to the school year.”
