- Tuesday, January 16, 2024 – CLASSES CANCELED
- Due to severe cold temperatures, precipitation, and cautious consideration of road conditions, all Sharyland ISD school classes are CANCELED, and facilities will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
- No makeup day is required for students.
- Check with your child’s coaches and sponsors for details regarding individual extra-curricular and athletic activities.
- Staff should consult with their immediate supervisor for instructions regarding tomorrow’s workday.
- Wednesday, January 17, 2024 – DELAYED START
- Two-hour school delay; Instruction will start at 10:00 AM.
- Cafeterias will open at 8:30 AM; please check with your respective campus for early drop-off information.
- Breakfast will be available in the cafeteria at all schools from 8:45 – 9:45 AM.
- Bus routes will follow a two-hour delay; parents can use the “Here Comes the Bus” app for accurate pick-up times.
- Elementary afterschool care will be open and following standard hours.
- Check with your child’s coaches and sponsors for details regarding individual extra-curricular and athletic activities.
- Outdoor activities and sports will follow the district’s cold weather policy.
- All staff will report to work at 8:30 AM. Certain staff will be notified by their direct supervisor if they will be expected to report earlier than this time.
- We encourage you to send your children to school with jackets and/or extra layers, particularly as the temperature is expected to be cooler at dismissal.
