McALLEN, Texas – Local attorney, community leader, and proud father Sergio J. Sanchez officially announced today that he is running for the Republican nomination to represent Texas House District 41 in the heart of South Texas.

Born in Edinburg on the Fourth of July, Sanchez is a longtime South Texan whose roots run deep in the district. Sergio was raised by a hardworking single mother who instilled in him the values of service, perseverance, and education and influenced by his Vietnam veteran father. Sanchez has lived, worked, raised his family, and built his business in District 41 for more than 25 years.

A former felony prosecutor at the Hidalgo County District Attorney’s Office, Sanchez has dedicated his career to pursuing justice, protecting families, and standing up for victims. Since 2007, he has owned and operated The Sanchez Law Firm in McAllen, helping thousands of clients while also serving as a mentor and advocate in his community. His civic involvement includes serving as Past President of the McAllen Boys and Girls Club, Past President of the National Prosecutor’s Association (Southwest Region) and as a Board Member for the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Hidalgo County.

“As a taxpayer, parent, business owner, and community advocate, I know firsthand the challenges our families face,” Sanchez said. “District 41 deserves a strong, conservative voice in Austin who will defend our values, fight for safer communities, lower taxes, better our schools, and protect our Texas way of life.”

Sanchez knows that under Democrat control, South Texas, and District 41 specifically, has been underrepresented in Austin and he is committed to putting South Texas First once elected.

“I’m running to give South Texas a seat at the table and to ensure our district’s families, veterans, small businesses, and children have a champion representing them in the Texas House,” Sanchez added.
