BROWNSVILLE & HARLINGEN – To provide members of our staff and local residents the opportunity to remember and reflect on the events of September 11, 2001, Valley Baptist Health System has organized a Memorial Stair Climb event at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville.
The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb honors and remembers the FDNY firefighters who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live. Each participant pays tribute by climbing the stairs, remembering a hero and symbolically completes their heroic journey to save others.
The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb ensures that each of the 343 firefighters that lost their lives on September 11, 2001, is honored and that the world knows that we will never forget.
Representatives from both the Brownsville Fire Department will be at the event to honor those lost in the attacks on September 11, 2001 and the rescue efforts that immediately followed.
