Sen. Hinojosa said to be honored when he accept the invitation from Nueces County Sheriff J.C. Hooper to serve as the keynote speaker at the 2022 Police Officer Memorial ceremony in Corpus Christi.
Hinojosa said, “Our law enforcement men and women risk their lives daily. There is no routine traffic stop or routine response to a call for help. We thank our officers for keeping us safe and patrolling our neighborhoods, streets, and highways day and night.” He continued, “We thank their families for the sacrifice they have to make and for their suffering, pain and heartache when their loved one does not come home.”
Last week, he honored and remembered all fallen officers for their courage, sacrifice, and valor. “We must never forget our peace officers who died while in the line of duty working to keep us safe,” said Hinojosa in closing.
