(McAllen) Byron Jay Lewis, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer received a prestigious honor that was presented by Senator Eddie Lucio, Jr. He was presented with a Texas flag that was flown over the Texas capital in January to commemorate the rich heritage of the company.
The special presentation took place during the 10th Annual State of Real Estate Forum that is coordinated and hosted by Edwards Abstract and Title Co. The title insurance company was founded in 1880 and has been consistently serving the region for the past thirteen decades. The company’s rich history coupled with the ability to embrace change has been the key components to continued success. During 2014, Edwards Abstract and Title Co. has been serving South Texas and the surrounding region for 134 years.
The corporate office was founded in Edinburg in 1880. Today, four branch offices serve Hidalgo County. Full service branches are located in McAllen, Mission, Weslaco and Edinburg. In 2010, Edwards Abstract and Title Co. expanded the service area to Cameron County. The expansion welcomed an additional three branch offices in the cities of Brownsville, South Padre Island and Harlingen.
