AUSTIN, Texas – Texas’ senior U.S. Senator John Cornyn is announcing his senior campaign team for his 2026 re-election campaign.
“It has been my honor to serve Texans as their U.S. Senator and we will run an aggressive campaign that clearly frames the choice for Texas Republican primary voters,” said Sen. Cornyn. “I am pleased to have a dedicated team of elite professionals running this campaign. We will accurately convey my record in the U.S. Senate and make sure that Texans understand the character and record of my opponents. It’s going to be a long, miserable 10 months for Ken Paxton.”

Mackowiak is president of Potomac Strategy Group, LLC, has helped elect five members of Congress from Texas, has served two U.S. Senators and a Governor in senior communications roles, and served as Travis County GOP chair from 2017-2025.
